Abdominal Therapy for Professionals: Part 1 - Ireland

This class teaches you vital knowledge and tools to perform your own self-care abdominal massage and how to give anterior Abdominal Therapy to your clients. The focus of this class is on the anterior portion of Abdominal Therapy, based on the work of Dr. Rosita Arvigo.

Online Introduction Day - 21st May, 10am-4pm

In-Person Training: 26th-28th May, 9am-5pm

Online Mentoring Day - 17th June, 10am-1pm

A combination of online and in-person training will afford you time in your own home to fully embody this work on a personal level, before attending the in-person professional Abdominal Therapy training at The Palms Health and Wellness Centre.

Initially, you'll attend an online 6hr Introduction day, and be taught the Abdominal Therapy Collective’s unique Your Abdominal Massage for your personal continuing health improvement, as well as how this massage affects digestive and pelvic health.

Then, you'll attend a 3-day In-person class where you'll learn and experience anterior Abdominal Therapy techniques, and be shown how to offer this work to your clients.

Finally, to support your training, an online 3hr Mentoring Class is offered at a later stage.

The Uterus Suit helps to demonstrate certain pelvic conditions.

This class schedule includes:

  1. 21st May - Online Introduction, 10am-4pm: Conducted via Zoom, you'll be introduced to this work and learn how to perform Abdominal Therapy on yourself. Abdominal and pelvic anatomy and physiology will be discussed, along with many complementary care tools to support wellbeing.

  2. 26th-28th May - In-Person Class, 9am-5pm: You'll learn the practical applications of anterior Abdominal Therapy and have plenty of time to share and practice. You'll leave the 3-day training fully qualified and able to offer your clients a comprehensive anterior Abdominal Therapy treatment.

  3. 17th June - Online Mentoring Class, 10am-1pm: This mentoring opportunity is offered to discuss any questions that may arise after leaving in-person training.

  4. One-Year Membership to the Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC): Your first-year membership includes - listing within the 'Find a Practitioner' on the ATC website, free access to ATC webinars, events, and supportive therapeutic resources.

You'll learn:

  • The history and lineage of the Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC).

  • How to perform Your Abdominal Massage (YAM).

  • Common signs and symptoms of pelvic and abdominal conditions.

  • How to perform anterior Abdominal Therapy on clients.

  • The importance of emotions on physical function and simple ways to support the emotional body.

  • How to complete ATC's Health Story consultation form.

  • How to apply supportive techniques for specific abdominal and pelvic conditions.

  • How to teach your client YAM and other supportive healing techniques.

  • How the ATC can support you personally and professionally.

Included in your class fee:

  • A detailed course manual in both electronic and printed format.

  • Your first year of membership with The Abdominal Therapy Collective (ATC) worth $100 USD.

  • Full access to extensive ATC educational resources.

  • Listing on the ATC's ‘Find A Practitioner’ webpage.

  • Access to ATC Community via their Facebook page and other online platforms.

  • Access to ATC online and in-person events.

  • Mentorship and ongoing professional support.

  • Access to attend ATP2, posterior training in Abdominal Therapy for professionals.

This class is open to professional therapists who hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology and are able to perform massage within the legal requirements of their country.

This class is limited to 12 students.

Early bird class fee up to 30th April - €600 Euro.

After 30th April the class fee - €900 Euro.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place via Eventbrite. The remaining class fee is paid directly to Louise, no later than 3 weeks before the start of the first day of training on 21st May.

Accommodation is not included in the fee for this class. Airbnb offers a variety of accommodations nearby.

We will be following COVID guidelines from the WHO and UKGOV that are in effect at the time of this course.
